NOTE: This is exactly why it is critically important that all dogs be fed diets that are 100% complete & balanced, as defined by The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). All recipes in my cookbook are formulated using food formulation software to ensure that they deliver 100% complete and balanced nutrition as defined by AAFCO. This ensures that puppies fed my puppy recipes do not experience the types of problems documented above in this study. Unbalanced recipes that do not meet AAFCO are a significant risk to dogs of all ages. Beware of any product that does not fully comply with AAFCO standards.
